Today

the incorporation of colleges and the increase of the enrolled students have brought us many questions

like that part of teachers and students couldnt access to the existing campus network

and users in the new branch campus couldnt access to the existing campus network either

and so on. This paper put forward a project that extended existing campus network and built metropolitan campus network with modern radio communication technology. It respectively used WLAN to cover hotspots

and used LMDS to link the main and branch campus

and accessed to the campus network outside by GPRS. It realized to cover the whole metropolitan campus network

and provided definite reference for building large scale campus network of college and universities.
