The basic communication mechanism and services features of instant message are summarized. Communication model of SMS （Short Message Service）based on OSA（Open Service Access）/ Parlay and that of MMS （Multi-media Message Service） based on CAMEL （Customized Application for Mobile Network Enhanced Logic）are analyzed

on the basis of which we propose the instant message model based on OSA/Parlay

and then diverse kinds of message communication flows are discussed.
