Abstract

Femtocell is an emerging technology which is used to strengthen the indoor coverage.It also promotes the fixed-mobile convergence.Compared with other similar operations

Femtocell has many advantages such as low cost

high grade of service

no change of core network.Thus it has received close attention from the standardization organizations and the industrial field.This paper introduces the key elements of Femtocell

compares the advantages of the Femtocell station with other similar technologies

points out the issues of its commercial realization.Furthermore

we forecast the prospect of Femtocell.
