Aiming at the traditional ocean engineering hydrodynamic analysis software which cannot couple blade aerodynamic load
wind wave load and vortex wake effect
the NREL-5MW offshore wind turbine model based on the OC3-Hywind single-column platform is established
and the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software STAR-CCM+ is used to combine the fluid volume function method with the dynamic fluid interaction model to realize the fully coupled dynamics analysis of the aerodynamic-hydrodynamic-mooring. It is found that: the adopted computational fluid dynamics method can effectively capture the influence of tower shadow effect on the aerodynamic performance of the rotor
and the aerodynamic and hydrodynamic response results are within a reasonable range compared with the results of the single-part calculations; the results of the flow field visualization show that under the combined effect of wind and wind waves
the attached vortices on the vortex tube are continuously detached from the surface of the vortex tube and interact with the tail vortex at the rear of the tower
which exacerbates the complexity of the flow field of the FOWT. The results provide a reference for the full-coupling analysis of a single-column offshore floating wind turbine.
