Effect of the Spectral Width of Optical Sources upon the Output of an Active Optical Current Sensor by Fiber Dispersion
the effect of broadband light sources on pulse broadening caused by fiber dispersion has been theoretically investigated and simulated. The results show that when the spectra width of light sources varies between 40-60 nm
the pulse broadening of multimode fiber with length of 500 m and single-mode fiber varies between 0.5~0.8 ns and 2×10-5~4×10-5ns
respectively.Finally
our experimental results verify the above conclusions.
