The vibration of turbine disk is analysed using thin plate and Mindlin thick plate theory. The displacement function in circumferential direction can be representedby means of Fourier Series
so that the two-dimensional problem becomes one-dimensional.Based on the governing equations of plate the equivalent one order differen- tial equation sets can be derived. The frequency equation can be obtained using numerical integration method
such as Runge-Kutta method
under certain boundaryconditions
Muller method to solve the resonant frequency of disk is also employed. The calculation results agree better with experimental data than the results of the finite element method. Moreover
the computer program can be significantlysimplified and the computer time can be considerably reduced.
