Zerilli-Armstrong(Z-A) model was developed based on the constitutive model of thermally activated dislocation kinetics. But
some simplifying assumptions in Z-A model decreased its predicted accuracy. In order to improve the predicted accuracy
the strain hardening exponent function that considers the coupled effect of the strain rate and the temperature was introduced into Z-A model. And the modified Z-A model was used to describe flow behaviors of alloy IC10 under different experiment conditions. As compared with the predicted data of classical Z-A model and the experimental data
it was found that the predicted accuracy of the modified Z-A model was improved obviously. The max average relative error decreased from 6.41% to 3.65%.
