Abstract

The background and development of Z-Wave

a new Wireless Communication Technology

which is low in rate

power loss and flexible to mesh network is introduced.The protocol frame and the network topology structure of this technology is analyzed.The main characteristics of Z-Wave are expounded and compared with two important short distance wireless communication technologies

Zigbee and Bluetooth on performance.The technical advantages of Z-Wave are demonstrated.At last

the application future and challenges of Z-Wave in home control market is summarized.
