摘要

本文介绍日本在光纤到家（FTTH）网络中用户室内应用的弯曲不敏感孔助光纤（HAF）。讨论了这种光纤的弯曲损耗与模场直径对于孔设计的依赖关系。文章接着介绍了用这种光纤制作的卷曲软光缆。这种软光缆具有螺旋结构

Abstract

The paper introduces the bend-insensitive hole-assisted fiber used in subscribers’ premises in FTTH network in Japan.The dependence of bending loss and mode field diameter on the hole design is discussed.The optical curl cords using the hole-assisted fibers have spiral structure

which allows the cord to lengthen and shorten without added loss.Therefore

when used in subscribers’ premises

factory assembled connectors can be attached to both ends of the cords.By utilizing this feature

an economical and flexible cabling system can be realized.
