To achieve the core driven fan stage(CDFS)design indexes
the effect of different types of inlet guide vanes(IGV)on performance of CDFS was analyzed with CFD numerical simulation. The results show that the configuration using variable IGV and fixed stator can meet the CDFS design indexes; different types of IGV conversions have remarkable effects on performance of CDFS; the proper variable camber location and the closed angle in variable camber IGV are important to achieve the design goal; stator oriented in negative attack angle is favorable in single bypass mode in mode conversion; the CDFS loss is mainly influenced by rotor passage shock in single bypass mode and by the separation flow in IGV suction surface in double bypass mode.
