Experiments were conducted to study the lean blowout (LBO) performance of triple axial swirler combustor at different inlet airflow velocities
inlet airflow temperatures
triple axial swirler rotational direction combinations and airflow mass flow rate distributions. The results show that: the lean blowout fuel-air ratio (LBO FAR) of triple axial swirler combustor decreases with increasing inlet airflow velocity and inlet airflow temperature
and inlet airflow temperature has great effect on LBO performance; the LBO performance of scheme with rotational direction combination of counterclockwise-counterclockwise-clockwise is improved by about 50% compared with that of clockwise-counterclockwise-clockwise at the same inlet airflow velocity; the LBO FAR decreases to a little extent when the inner swirler airflow mass flow rate decreases.
