Experimental correlations of aircraft spray cooling system experiment in non-boiling area under different heating surfaces were investigated. On the basis of summarizing predecessors' work and establishing experiment bench as well as completing the experiment
four non-dimensional parameters influencing the spray cooling performance were provided while non-dimensional correlations of Nusselt number for different heating surfaces were calculated. The deviation between predicted value obtained by experimental correlation of smooth heating surface and experiment value was within 8.5%. The influence of each non-dimensional parameters on precision was also analyzed. For drilling surface
enhancing factor was applied for correction of the correlation
the value range and value basis were provided to enable the predicted values obtained by correlations falling within the deviation of ±15%. On the other hand
the experimental correlation for straight fin surface was proposed
and not influenced by fin structure and fin number. The correlation above is also suitable for water
