In order to study the effect of combustor inlet velocity distortion on the reverse-flow combustor outlet temperature distribution
the radial distortion and circumferential distortion plates were designed according to the compressor outlet velocity profile
and the distortion was validated by numerical simulation. And an experiment on the outlet temperature distribution of three sector rectangle model combustors was conducted. The results show that radial distortion and circumference distortion could cause uneven distribution of temperature and bring overall temperature distribution factor (OTDF) a significant increase
and the effect of circumference distortion seems greater. In addition
from the temperature contour and radial temperature distribution factor (RTDF) contour
the radial distortion and circumferential distortion will make the combustor outlet temperature a zig-zag fluctuation close to the inner wall
and present a cyclical trend
making outlet temperature distribution nonuniform.
