This paper analyzes the limitations of offline charging method in packet service domain

and introduces the basic principles of online charging based on Gy interface.Based on the above analysis

the paper provides a real-time charging system architecture for mobile operator’s PS domain.The paper also point out the key issues that should be paid more attentions when this system is implemented in real network

and provides the relevant solutions for these problems.
