摘要

本文主要概述了波分复用无源光网络拥有的机遇

面临的挑战及目前已发展的各种技术。首先分析了WDM-PON在下一代光接入网中可能拥有的机遇

阐明了目前WDM-PON所面临的挑战

并从ONU端光源无色化和OLT端光源中心化两方面讨论了为降低WDM-PON成本国际上目前发展的各种技术手段

并比较了各种技术的优缺点。

Abstract

In this paper

the developed opportunities of WDM-PON are firstly analyzed.WDM-PON has not been commercially deployed in the worldwide scale

due to its ultra-high implementation and maintaining costs

and therefore WDM-PON is facing to the big challenges.We discuss and compared in details some kinds of techniques which were developed for reducing the costs of WDM-PON

mainly including

1) using wavelength-independent（colorless） light sources in the optical network units

and 2) using centralized optical sources in the optical line terminal of WDM-PON.
