摘要

GPON在同样的带宽下速率更高

它也在接入网中应用得越来越多

但是随着不断增长的高带宽应用

比如IPTV、VOD、HDTV等等

它们对GPON网络的容量要求越来越大。在本文中

我们提出了一种基于MAC协议的方法和一种特殊的过滤器

从而使GPON网络的资源得到更高的利用。

Abstract

Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network（GPON） system has been standardized in ITU-T Rec.G.984 series.It can provide high-speed optical subscriber networks with broad bandwidth and is getting more popular in access network.But with the continuous increase in higher bandwidth demand applications like IPTV

VOD

HDTV etc

the need for much higher capacity over GPON links is more obvious.In this paper

we propose a method of deploying MAC protocols and a special filter over GPON system to get higher rate of GPON links’ utilization.
