Multi-access edge computing is an emerging technology which can reduce interaction latency and bandwidth consumption by placing computing

storage and other resources on the edge of the network. MEC can be wildly applied in both mobile network（such as 4 G

5 G

etc.） and other type of wireless network（such as Wi-Fi）

which will bring specific solutions and services for industrial automation and other intelligent applications. This paper introduces the exploration of using MEC in a carrier mobile network and its effect of industrial application

and discusses key problems that require solutions.
