Recently，oxyfluoride glass ceramics has become a research focus among researchers，due to itsbroad application prospects，such as，optical fiber amplifier，up一conversion lasers and other fields，this is owe toits excellent performanceofhighstrengthpositivetemperature refractive index，low phonon energy and good crys-tallizing character. The advanced research of oxyfluoride glass ceramics are described in this paper by describingthe classification，doped type of rare一earth and application of this materials. Besides，the future development trendand problems to be solved in this field are also discussed.
