To solve the problems of lack of process control in the development of existing portal system

high-cost in maintenance and long development circle in enterprise portal systems

we propose a process-based enterprise portal information system model

and based on this model

we develop a system assembly tool using portlet and interpret the architecture of the tool in details

moreover the methods of XML-based component encapsulation and algorithms of page render and assembly are described.With this tool

user can select components of different types and different functions from portlet library conveniently.In addition

through click or drag

enterprise portal system can be easily assembled

thus the system development efficiency is greatly enhanced.
