In order to design a Fibre Channel based on Programmable System on Chip(SOPC)

both the XPS Central DMA and the Scatter-Gather DMA are studied. Finally some tests are done on a development board

and the experimental results show that the Scatter-Gather DMA data transmission rate can reach 225MB/s

which meets the Fibre Channel transmission rate requirements(200MB/s).
