In this paper
the new generation laser-optimized 50/125um multi-mode optical fiber is introduced. This fiber is used in 10Gbit/s Ethernet for Very Short Reach application
its transmission distance at 850nm wavelength can reach up to 300m over with low-cost VCSEL (Vertical cavity Surface Emitting Laser) based transceivers under 10Gbit/s bit rate Ethernet conditions.
