Since WCDMA system is a self-interference system

its radio network planning is different from GSM and PHS systems. As the key point in the radio network planning

capacity is very important to produce a successful design project. This paper introduces the effect factors of capacity in WCDMA radio network preplanning. Several calculating methods are provided for system capacity with advantages and disadvantages. The main measurements to improve the capacity are also mentioned.
