The finite element method with 8 nodes three dimensional isoparametric elements and subspace iteration is applied to digital simulation of dynamic characteristics of a propeller hub.The sizes of the stiffness matrices[K]and mass matrices[M]in the equations are very large.The natural frequencies of the first six orders and its corresponding modes of the hub have been obtained from the experimental modal analysis.By comparison the results of the experimental modal analysis and the digital simulation are of the same order.
