A methodology has been developed for calculating optimum stagger angles of vanes for the axial flow compressor performance adjustment tests.The methodology uses a square Taylor series as an approximate optimization model
determines initial vane angle changements of the axial flow compressor tests by means of the compressor performance prediction model and abtains direction and steps for vane adjustment by the digital optimization technology.This methodology has the advantages of fast convergence
less iteration and suitability for the test data calculation with measuring errors.Compared with the existing methods it can reduce the period and times of compressor performance tests.
