the International Electrotechnical Commission（IEC） has issued a series of basic test methods of cable.The new series of basic test methods of cable have a great difference with the original test methods

and the domestic standard organization correspondingly modified the related standards.This article combined the latest series of IEC 60794—Istandards and domestic cable standard systems to describe the basic test methods of cable standards

and gave the relevant recommendations.
