The effects of inlet flow parameters oscillation on combustion instabilities of a gas turbine combustor were studied by introducing perfectly stirred reactor (PSR) model. The simulation results demonstrate that
for lean premixed combustor (combustor operating at low inlet equivalence ratio)
when the relative oscillation amplitudes of inlet temperature
inlet mixture mass flow rate and inlet equivalence ratio are the same
the oscillation of inlet equivalence ratio has the largest effect on combustion instability phenomenon
then followed by inlet mixture mass flow rate
and the inlet temperature yields the lowest effect.
