which is used to couple the flow network calculation of blade internal flow and source simulation of blade external cooling
was embedded into a 3D aero code
which is usually used to calculate blade external flow
then a quick simulation of a whole cooled blade was carried out. A computer program called CTUCP was developed based on this method. CTUCP was first used to calculate the steady cooling of the turbine vane cascade C3X
and the result was compared with the result of CFX
proving that CTUCP can calculate stably
faster by one order of magnitude
and give close prediction of the blade wall temperature distribution trend except at the leading edge. Next
CTUCP is used to calculate pulsed cooling of C3X
obtaining the characteristic of the coolant and wall temperature under two different pulse amplitudes.
