Various typical dry friction dampers in aero-engine were summarized
and different typical dry friction models and contact kinematics models as well as their merit
demerit and range of application were introduced. Various computational methods to obtain the response of dry friction system were reviewed
and the multi-harmonic balance method combined with an alternating frequency-time domain method procedure was introduced in detail for particular interest. Furthemore
the key points of alternating frequency-time domain procedure
such as the arc-length continuation
were introduced. In the end
the difficulties and research directions in this research field were discussed.
