The principle of non-uniform load distribution in torque-split transmission system of cylindrical gears was analyzed. By establishing the dynamic model of this torque-split transmission system the effects of structure parameters between two sides on the load sharing performance were researched. The test of the split-torque transmission with elastic shaft was carried out
and correctness of the analysis method above was proved. Results showed that the load condition
torsional stiffness
support stiffness and mesh phase differences between two sides had an effect on the load sharing performance of the system
among which smaller torsional stiffness
larger support stiffness and suitable meshing phase difference were beneficial for load sharing.
