This article focuses on the impact of lateral forces on weight and center of gravity (CG) measurement during aircraft weighing tests
and designs a lateral force elimination method to simplify the calculation formula for the aircraft′s CG. An automatic measurement system for aircraft weight and CG was developed
which uses a total station to achieve aircraft attitude adjustment without a horizontal reference plane
making the measurement scheme more concise. The actual test results indicate that the system′s weight measurement error
CG coordinate measurement error
and attitude adjustment accuracy all meet the test requirements
and both the test efficiency and accuracy have been improved
