Abstract
IRAT handover is key point in 2/3G interaction optimizing.Packet data service is very important
therefore IRAT handover in PS domain is challenging.UE will switch between multi-RAB channels;also switch from idle mode to compressed mode in IRAT handover procedure.Parameter optimizing is very careful job;otherwise it will affect performance and effect of IRAT handover.This paper analyzes IRAT handover in 2/3G network based on fundamental and signaling procedure.From analysis we get a reasonable conclusion and guide the future optimizing work.
