This paper introduces some femtocells’ features and some influence to the 3G mobile network.These small base stations are designed to improve indoors capacity

or to provide services in locations without signal or with weak coverage

and are supposed to be useful supplement to 3G network.The paper discusses usage of femtocell and related challenges

such as interferences

frequency spectrum planning

handovers or integration of femtocells into 3G networks.
