With the rapid growth of communication services
it is required on bandwidth
delay and reliability of backbone transmission network. This paper analyzes the current status and problems of the backbone transmission network
and proposes a two-level network architecture including backbone core and backbone access
which can reduce the delay by 30%~60%
the failure rate by more than 90%
and equipment investment by more than 45%.
