Communication room as important node of network planning unit increases large demand due to “new infrastructure” construction and former communication room faced stopping lease problem. Basic telecom operators and added-value network corporations have large demand of communication room site selection demand. Traditional communication room site selection needs site selection worker seek target to fi nish various investigation and contract negotiation. This mode has great diffi culty to fi nd impossible communication site target in science way and leads to long site selection period and high cost. This paper investigates new communication room site selection mode to fully use GIS and ENVI technology to improve site selection effi ciency and decrease site selection cost.
