Along with social progress and increasing emphasis on the life of disabled people，a low-cost stable automatic book-turning machine through voice control is needed，which could help the people with disabled hands or who have troubles with reading independently，and it is of great significance. This design is based on negative pressure adsorption principle，achieving book-turning action through single-chip microcomputer controlling a motor. Firstly，the page model of the book-turning machine system is built，and then the overall design of book-turning system is carried on，including vacuum system，power train system and electrical control system. Finally，experi mental verification is carried on for this automatic book-turning machine. Through the test verification and analysis the simple voice-controlled automatic book-turning machine with high reliability and nice performance can achieve book-turning action stably by voice control，higher success rate and lower cost，facilitating the disabled people who have trouble with reading independently.
